About
Founded in January 2025, Crafty Closet Collective (C3) is based in Northern Virginia, and provides support to trauma survivors throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia through the donation of handcrafted garments and accessories. We strive to address immediate needs of survivors through handcrafted donations, while providing the personal touch of items lovingly made by hand.

Our current programs include:

BeautyBags - 100% handcrafted tote bags filled with practical beauty and self care essentials

Collective Goods - Our creative boutique of handmade garments and accessories stitched for survivors

Belong Boutique - Our external facing Etsy shop created by C3 for allies to shop handmade goods, with 100% of their purchase supporting this volunteer effort

Crafty Closet Collective is a volunteer initiative and does not have IRS 501(c)3 status. We are currently working to achieve this status so that we may expand the scope of our support to the community.

Our Why
Trauma comes in many forms, whether it is physical, psychological, or sexual in nature. As trauma survivors, it is easy to feel a loss of connection to self, identity, and community. Through the donation of beauty, clothing, and self care essentials, we strive to address immediate needs of trauma survivors while providing a creative outlet for self expression and connection to community.
Our Vision
Crafty Closet Collective is a volunteer initiative, that is on its way to achieving 501(c)3 status within the next year. Our current goals are:

1. To build partnerships with shelters and safe spaces in DC, Maryland, and Virginia who are interested in our initiative.

2. To educate and inform the public of our efforts and our mission.
​
3. To donate BeautyBags and Collective Goods to participating shelters and safe spaces throughout the DMV.
